A woman who police say blew five times over the legal limit has allegedly smashed into four cars while trying to get out of shopping mall carpark.

Police were called to the Topham Mall carpark in the Adelaide CBD at 7.20pm on Friday to see the trail of carnage allegedly left by the 42-year-old woman’s silver Mercedes-Benz sedan.

Four cars were extensively damaged with some wedged in against the parking lot’s concrete pillars.

Officers arrived at the Topham Mall carpark on Friday evening to be greeted with the sight of four damaged parked cars

Drivers who had been shopping at the mall returned to find their cars n various states of destruction. 

A breath-test on the Mercedes-Benz driver allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.257, which is more than five times the legal limit. 

Officers reported the woman for drink-driving and gave her an immediate 12-month loss of licence notice.

The woman will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
