A student police officer will no longer be able to join the force after he allegedly slammed a door on a woman’s hand.
Officers were called to a home in Asquith, in Sydney‘s north, at about 6pm on Friday over reports of an alleged domestic violence incident.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with common assault (DV) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He allegedly stopped a woman from leaving the home before slamming her hand in a door.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Hornsby Local Court on September 3.
NSW Police said his offer to train with the force has been revoked.
