An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead at a property in Melbourne‘s south-east.

Emergency services were called to a home on Foote Street in Brighton at 8.30pm on Friday night, where they found a man with injuries.

CPR was performed on the man but he could not be revived and died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A 52-year old man was arrested at the scene and was taken into police custody.

He is assisting police with their inquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death are yet to be determined as the investigation remains ongoing.
