A body has been found in water near a Sydney yacht club.

The remains were found at the Botany Bay Yacht Club on Endeavour St in Sans Souci, in the city’s south, about 2.45pm on Friday.

‘Officers attached to Marine Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident,’ NSW Police said.

‘Police have established a crime scene which will be forensically examined.’

Inquiries are continuing.
