A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has struck the Pacific island of Vanuatu.
The earthquake struck at 5am local time on Monday, at a depth of 39km.
The Vanuatu Meteorology and Geo-Hazards Department said there was no threat of a tsunami.
Vanuatu is 1,750 kilometres from Australia’s east coast.
